Tomorrow promises to be a big day in our community!
It is the Cancer Carnival, to be held at Woodland Park (270 Lake Street in Woodland.) Signs will be posted on Route 322 at Gio’s Barbecue.
Festivities will kick off at 11 AM after an opening prayer by Reverend Wayne Focht, followed by lots of food, entertainment, fun and of course shopping with all the vendors, yard and rummage sale tables and well, just about everything!
I will be there with some items to raise money for the church and missions as well as my books and other items. If you do come to the carnival – please stop by and say Hi! I’m sharing Howie’s canopy with our niece Tara who’s selling Tupperware.
For more info, watch the conversation on the Cancer Carnival page on Facebook. There’s also a great ad in the Progress which they donated! The community has really pulled together to make this event a memorable and (hopefully) successful one.
Please pray for the event and participants that the weather cooperates and that they can raise a lot of funds for these cancer patients. And especially pray that many will come to know Jesus – whether it’s through the love they see outpouring for these cancer patients or through a direct witness in word or song. Amen!
