What or who do you endorse?

At that time you will say, “Praise the LORD and call out his name! Tell everyone what he has done and how wonderful he is.”        Isaiah 12:4 ERV

Do you have a favorite household product? Maybe a favorite sports team? Or a close-to-your-heart cause that you support regularly?

If so, you have probably done some endorsing in your lifetime.  Pay attention to your conversations with others.  How many times do  certain products or political candidates, or causes come up while we’re voicing our opinions?  For example, every time I take my dog to board at a local kennel, they comment on my Danny’s arthritis and tell me about what brand of medication they gave their dog that seemed to work miracles.

Try sitting at the food court in the mall and counting all the people walking by who are wearing tee shirts with sports team logos emblazoned across the front or back. Or count how many bigger-than-life billboards you pass on the way to the  mall with product endorsements.  Did you know, the average commercial break in your favorite television program now has four or more ads in that 2-3 minute time span? You can almost cook a whole meal during the commercial break.  LOL!

Think about it. When we find something we like, we tell others about it. It’s a natural thing to do because we want to help or share what works for us.

So it should be with our faith in Jesus. What wonderful things has he done for you? Have you told anyone about it lately?

Father, help me to tell everyone what you’ve done for me and how wonderful you are – especially during these trying days when people could use a little bit of “Wonderful” in their lives! Amen.
